San Diego Wedding Playlist

The Bahas wedding at Lot 8,

San Diego California

An absolutely stunning couple, Denise and Wahid tied the knot in beautiful San Diego in one of the coolest, newest event venues. They hired a team of San Diego’s best wedding professionals that brought everything to life.

The Coordination team was Blissful Weddings and Co. With Elizabeth and Anne. They are GREAT to work with. I saw them as the cog in the wheel that keeps all of the spokes in place. All of us vendors are the spokes in the wheel.

The photographer, Born Pacific Photography. That guy caught all those special moments in an instant. At this wedding there were a lot of those instances because there was so much energy at this wedding and reception

Food provided by Toast Catering. I didn’t taste it but it sure did look delicious! I’ve worked with them a lot over the years. They are solid and reputable.

SoCal Wanderbus Photobooth. It was kind of cool how he drove his VW bus photobooth right into the venue. Ha!!! That is so California.

Frost Me Desserts

And of course the San Diego DJ Jerry Beck provided the music. Let’s talk about that for a second. I have always said that music, if played correctly, can create any atmosphere and vibe desired. There are certain elements that are in the composure of any song that affects certain parts of the brain. Going into this wedding I had some discussions with the bride so I can get an overview of their music tastes and expectations. They didn’t want to go down the beaten path of cliche songs. I assure them that I would read their crowd and play accordingly. I also assured them that even though some of the songs that they may want played have explicit lyrics in there original form would be all cleaned up and edited perfectly for a wedding.

After finding out what the couple liked and didn’t like, what they expected in the music. What they wanted their guests to do. With a list of songs that the couple gave me. I was ready to go in and help create some magic with sound.

Here is the Baha Playlist that created love, party, energy and sense of togetherness and one. Remember, it’s not simply WHAT you play but HOW it’s presented to the listener.

Now, THIS is what the couple said days after the wedding in a google review.

“Jerry came recommended by a friend and we were so lucky to see him in action shortly after at one of Brick’s Open Houses. My husband and I instantly felt a connection with him and even though we didn’t muster the courage to talk to him that night, we both knew he was our DJ. He’s incredibly talented and a master at his craft. Just like he’d masterfully done at the open house, he read our crowd and had everyone on the dance floor or feeling themselves where they stood. I cannot thank him enough for how amazing our wedding turned out. It’s true what they say, your guests will remember your music and DJ, and EVERYONE raves about the music at our wedding! He even had our photographer feeling the music.
He’s professional, timely, responsive, flexible, and downright amazing.
Thanks so much Jerry!”
