Music for Lawn games

Music for lawn games can vary. Once you understand who the guests are then the perfect lawn games music are ones that you can sing along to. Songs that feel good. Songs that take people to a certain part of their life. Uptempo and energetic. I would stay away from ballads no matter the popularity. Mid-tempo songs are ok, as long as your audience knows the song.
With all of that said, I’d like to focus on a wedding that I was hired to perform where there were lawn games as well. I met with the bride to find out her musical tastes and what she expected in regards to music and the overall feel of the event. The bride and groom liked country music but didn’t think that the majority of their guests would embrace so she wanted me to mix it up. The wedding was during the day in a barn like venue (obviously lawn games outside). I had music playing inside and out. The location definitely had character, very rustic. Here is the music that I selected based on the bride and grooms vision previously discussed and the guests that were there.
